Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread

Peter, For bench testing the system, I thought about using 3 x AA rechargeable cells (in series, obviously) to simulate one lithium cell and then rig 2 or more of these to the same number of slaves. Can you see any issues with this? Will I have to remove the PICs from the unused slaves to avoid erro...

Re: BMS Hardware

Peter, I had a night duty at one of the station offices at work the other night and managed to get the about 60% of the master and 2-and-a-bit x 16-slave boards populated. A couple of things came up... Any chance you could put a really high res image of http://www.solarvan.co.uk/Life/LifebattahCells...

Re: Charging points

ChrisB, Had the web site you posted put a bit more info on it I would have posted the same link. Re-Charging in Orpington

Hi All,

Some wag in 'senior management' has decided it would be a good idea to send me on a course in Orpington, Kent (BR6 0TW) for 2 weeks and I can't find anywhere to charge the old EV. Anyone got any ideas?

Regards, MW.

Re: Charging points

Maybe they are signing up to the CHAdeMO Fast Charge Protocol (and hardware?) that Mitsubishi (iMiev) uses - full charge in 30 mins - 50kW output from 3 phase 240V supply. ESB ecars in Ireland are using these for their recently announced nationwide fast charge infrastructure.

EVMonitor - Windows Based Graphical Display for EVs

For anyone that is interested here are the details of my VB6-based BMMS monitoring program I use on my EV - a Daihatsu HiJet micro-van which has a Netgain Impulse 9" motor, Belktronix controller and 38 x Thundersky LFP160 LiFePO4 cells giving a nominal pack voltage of 120V - see http://www.eval...
