Re: Berlingo battery temp sensor / thermister

Think I may have a similar issue as my EVlite is telling me my batteries are currently 150C

Of course this is playing havoc with charging and trying to drive it anywhere

Job for the weekend

Re: insurance renewal

how UK insurers do check yearly mileage? Do they have to see your van or something? very interesting from my point of view Generally you write down and sign to say that you will not exceed the stated mileage. I'm paying something like £280 with Flux with an agreed write off cost of £3000 otherwise ...

Re: Southern : Sunday June 17th 2012 : Show

Just back from what was a lovely day out at Amberley, slightly disappointing BVS turn out :( but never the less we held our heads above water, the sun shone all day and at times was actually quite hot. A big thank you to Jim for allowing us to attend again this year and to John and Terry for coming ...

Re: Cheap Sealed Lead Acid - kids toy/mobility scooter

Try your local golf course, quite often golfers will off load their old trolly batteries once they wont do a full round, still plenty of "play" life left in them though.

Same goes for mobility scooter shops

Just a reminder for tomorrow really, weather looks as though it should be improving, well anythings an improvement on what we have currently.

Its a good day and with it being Fathers day there should be lots of things for the Dads to do as well 8)

See you all there

Re: Southern : Sunday June 17th 2012 : Show

Not been about much due to personal/work stuff hence hobbies and fun have had to take a bit of a back seat but all being well I will be at this event, not up to speed on who is going as thats TerryH's department. Hoepfully it will be as good a turn out as last year.....just with better weather.....a...

Re: Charging points and Renault Zoey

Not blaming renualt. Someone has finally produced a pretty normal looking hatchback for a seemingly doable amount. But the monthly battery cost will mean an automatic no for many, including me.. Look around on the second hand market, the little Citreon C1 conversion is really nice (there are a coup...

Re: Southern : Sunday June 17th 2012 : Show

Right well those that attended in 2011 "should" have recieved a invite from the museum for this year. As you can see from the pics, while the weather was somewhat damp we had a good turn out and a lot of fun, this year we are offically listed in their events list and thus even more public ...

Re: EV-network now charges £3

Oh I see Tim, it doesnt really make that very clear on the site.

Dont suppose theres any deals for BVS members i.e if your a BVS member you get access? I can just see that possibley the BVS could start their own DB for their members who wish to allow charging

Re: Blingo heater

The Berlingos do seem to do well in the snow, mainly due to the skinny tyres and extra weight 8) Half the problem with many of todays vehicles is they all have tyres the width of a footpath and thus dont get any traction and spin up real easy. Glad the heaters running well, may try the oil idea on m...
