Re: LEAF CHARGER PROJECT

I'm sure I read somewhere recently (probably visforvoltage) that someone had managed to access the battery in an i-miev via the chademo port without all the protocol malarkey and had built - and was using - his own DC charger at 20kW or so. I'll try and find it again. It's here... http://myimiev.com...

2011, Low Miles, Ex-Lease Peugeot iOns For Sale

Folks might be interested to learn that Howard's of Taunton have several of these fabulous EVs for sale, all with very low miles - <5k or so. I bought one in January when they were asking £10k and now they are going for £7k. They are excellent cars and ideal as a local runaround/second car/city car ...

Re: Please help build a local sustainable taxi service

Hi,

I assume you are aware of C&C Taxis in St Austell, Cornwall who run 5 LEAFs and have a rapid charger on the premises also (open to the public, for a fee)? MW

Came across this mob today (for the first time). As I have been living in the middle of their 'patch' for the last 8 years and having been running a DIY EV for the last 2 (12k miles, now), I was a bit surprised not to have heard of them before. I have emailed them to suggest they raise their profile...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

Peter et al, Am still having probs with current sensing and speed sensing. I had a soldering issue with my LEM sensor where I had solder-bridged the output and Vref pins and wonder (as I can't get any sense out of it) if I have either damaged the sensor or damaged the speed input to the 886. If I pu...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread

the biggest problem is that the paktrakr draws power from the pack in an uneven way Hi Greg, This is exactly what I was referring to when I said "and also not being terribly suited to Li cells"...! It drives me round the twist... especially the drain that the last remote puts on the 3 cel...

Re: Old BMS Hardware Thread

Hi Gregg, I'm hoping you are going to do these one at a time to see how much relative difference each option makes to the noise. I am still bench testing my system but getting close to buddying it up on top of the PakTrakr I have already installed but which suffers badly from noise - and also not be...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

OK... found the answer to part of my last post.. I gather if the 'state' argument in the PulseIn command is changed from '1' to '0' then it will look for a 'low' pulse rather than a high... easy peasy... maybe... MW

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

...(IC2 temp sensors) Why do you want 20? I was hoping to arrange an array of them within the battery box to monitor the temps in a '3D' kinda way... but not really important. If I wanted to add just another 2 sensors, can I just reproduce the 8 lines of sensor code between 'if TempInc =' and 'endi...

Re: Old BMS Software Thread

Hi Peter & Ian, Thanks - that has sorted it. Next question... can i use 20+ IC2 temp sensors? If there arn't enough variables avaialble could I use the same variable and just read and 'owout' each reading in turn? When I connect the currant sensor the display tends to be quite signiificantly aff...
