Phew - and there was me thinking it was mine on the blink. I did 2 journeys yesterday of 30 miles with charge inbetween and I was using about 600watt hours per 5 miles (its normally 450). The second journey yesterday was better after the recharge but all that icy water being pumped past them continu...

Weird isnt it - still thats what comes of free speech and lunacy. there are other petitions too that discredit the whole idea of No 10 Petitions - they all get ignored anyway - but checkout the two that do support EV's. Mine even asks for compensation for us passionate EVers to help offset the cost ...

Aha - I didnt realise some were grooved and curved to the correct shape. The picture I have seen of a grooved one didnt appear to be curved as well. Anyway, I am dead chuffed bacause the first set I replaced a year or so ago were flat ended and I had to try and put a curve on them myself with emery ...

I have just popped out the lower brush tonight to inspect after 190 miles - It has bedded beautifully - This is probably due to the pre-curvature put on by Schunk. They say that the originals are supplied curved to fit the Leroy Somner motor armature. You can see where it has been "rubbed"...

I wonder how difficult it would be to tap into the main motor cables and make the van think it is regen current it is getting. So hook up extra batt set greater than normal pack voltage, disconnect one motor cable and then switch on ignition and the controller will think it is regen current appearin...

They have now arrived and come pre-curved to the Leroy Somner motor armature so will bed very quickly. I changed mine yesterday and it drives very smoothly now. I figure the brushes are designed to last 10,000 miles - mine have gone to 12,000 but all were beyond the wear limit line. Price £15.65 ...

Forum member has spare sets Schunk Brushes for Berlingo

I have had to over order Brushes from Schunk for the Citroen Berlingo/Peugeot Partner.

If anyone is interested they can buy a set of 4 from me for £81.20 + £1.30 UK postage.

Please email me if interested at john@bedfordev.flyer.co.uk

Sadly Schunk now have a minimum order value so I cannot buy one set of Brushes from them. If I cannot find another supplier - is there anyone out there that would be interested in a set of 4 Blingo brushes.

Mine too will soon need replacing and I was planning to go to Schunk UK again - unless any other peeps have a better place. The dimension on the drawings available http://www.rmsconsult.co.uk/berlingo/tech.htm Was the 25.4 - I think this is 25mm from memory but will measure with a vernier and repost...
