Re: Charging Points - comments please
Kevin, I look forward to meeting you soon and throwing some ideas around. :P That will be great! The idea of installing cheap charge points is great. I guess you or a colleague is a qualified electrician as I am. I'm not an electrician by trade. My background is in electronics and computing, and my...

Re: Charging Points - comments please
We can all find lots of reason not to undertake this exercise.... however, I have found the response to be overwhelmingly positive with people coming forward to offer sites and support. The free sites are never intended to be a long term solution. However, they are desperately needed if we are to de...

Re: Brighton to London "Future Car Challenge"
If you havent already paid the fees Kevin, try Marys nudge nudge idea with them, as I could be up for it if only it wasnt so stupidly expensive. I'm paid up... only 100 cars in total and I didn't want to risk missing the event. I will also use this as the launch date for our free charge point progr...

I'm entering privately and if you would like me to promote the BVS then I'm happy to do that. Can you run this by the committee?MaryRPerkins wrote:If such negotiation fails, then I am sure committee would welcome it if anyone were to enter privately and be willing to promote the BVS at the event.

Re: An EV as a company car
The financial side of running an EV as a Co car is a no- brainer as the BIK is 0% and there is no risk to me in carrying the cost of a circa £25k car but it would be a bold step for my employer / fleet to take it on even if they milk the green / PR side of it. I would suggest you contact Tesla. The...

Re: Charging Points - comments please
I guess you are aware of Tim Nicklin's EV network ? Yes, I'm aware of Tim's project and actually use the "EV Charger Finder" iPhone app that includes his database. I will ensure that the charge points we install are listed on the site as they go live... Does anyone know how to reach Tim N...

a) It sounds like you may have some comment on the BVS's EV Charging Point Recommendations Installation Guide. There was always a plan to re-issue this document and it sounds like this might be a goo...
