Re: East Midlands Berlingo project

If its been misused or not watered or left for a long time, I always water the batteries before doing the maint charge, I know one story from a man in Austria who destroyed all 20 Nicads in his Saxo Electrique because of that. He filled water, then started maintenance charge.... then later electrol...

Re: More Belingo van troubles , charging not intialising ?

if you have a shorted cell anywhere in the packs the battery voltage will rapidly go up to 200 volts or more and the vehicles computer will shut the charger off !!! Great advice! I think there lays the problem and it was exactly in mine van which I wrote earlier. I saw voltage went to over 234V the...

Re: Motor brushes oh boy!!!

I note I have traveled 7800 so the brushes will have to be checked without fail every 5000 miles in future, I can only assume that the brushes I fitted which were from EVAN TUER when he was our guru are very soft as the armature shows no signs of wear after 28000 miles, well thats my rant over, che...

Re: More Belingo van troubles , charging not intialising ?

Somebody told me it could be break in battery circuit, ie. voltage reading is ok at idle but falls under load and same happens when trying charging. Maybe something is loose or fuse socket is corroded... Anyway that might be because of wet and rust. Will investigate.

Re: More Belingo van troubles , charging not intialising ?

I have same problem with one Blingo. I was thinking that controller is faulty (charger inside) so I swapped whole SagemBox from a working one... To my surprise it still didn't worked. Charging starts for 4-5 seconds then stops. Every time. Connected Lexia software and checked working parameters (in ...

Re: Blingo short range message for grumpy and co.

great news! if one cell is weaker I will replace it free of charge of course :) I'm sorry if it made any trouble but I think averaging 45 miles and charging light at 20% it is not bad. Of course perfert should be charging light coming between 0-5%.

Re: Blingo short range message for grumpy and co.

it seems problem is still in middle pack.
when you back home I think you have to remove all again.
Pls put all good and 100% OK tested cells in middle pack to be 100% sure that you don't have to remove it again. Then put all suspicious cells in rear pack (easiest to remove) and do further testing.

Re: Message for Grumpy and Co Blingo short range

so those with 5.1V had probably one cell dead - needed replace one with 6.1V was probably good? anyway with ECO light coming at 50% - changing one cell to good will get you at around ECO coming at 20-30% so still not perfect.... still I think one or two battery will need replace - the question is wh...

Re: battery replacements on berlingo

so Harry you bought it from that man in Newcastle Upon-Tyne? :) probably you need to remove middle pack (11pcs) and there will be two or three cells need replacing. go get a pallet truck and removing middle pack will be around one hour (or less), don't forget brake lines to be removed, also secure v...

Re: East Midlands Berlingo project

hi!

your Berlingo will be fine. You have to remove all battery boxes and check batteries.
if it drives - the only problem is battery.
I've also sent you priv message

and don't let it to be wrecked - would be a big shame!
