Auxilliary

I use a Maxwell 58F 15V Supercapacitor instead of a 12v pb auxilliary battery in my van conversion. I have thought about buying some more to buffer the power from my aging Li-ion main drive pack. :)

Sad but sensible in the end!

Sad but sensible in the end as we discussed many times ;)

No point converting a pile of old junk anymore like I did. We need modern looking aerodynamic lightweight EV's that inspire people.

I did do the solar thingy.

Interesting but I would not bother again in the northern UK, nice talking point and raises lots of interest, but not very practical. :) However when cells reach 50% efficency and 50% lighter in a few years, might be a real winner as my 2Msq roof could then provide 1kw in ideal conditions. If I lived...

Re: Speedo

Also, does anyone know where I stand legally? My understanding is that: - 1. a working speedo is not required as for the MOT 2. not having a working speedo is illegal 3. a push bike speedo will keep me legal Floydster Correct in my view if we are talking about road use obviously, my EV's have used ...
