Spoke with Antoni Offert
DETAILS BELOW ARE PROVISIONAL, PENDING CONFIRMATION FROM ANTONI
The plan is for Antoni to take a BVS stand at Newark, both days, "with a barbeque as usual"
Antoni will also attend Peterborough, probably on the Sunday
Detling is apparently John Crayton's choice, leaving one other, Exeter
We need a volunteer for Exeter, as I shall be far away from the West Country, that weekend
Finally, I will put a summary of the above on EVents, next
All the best, and thank you guys for the help, you know who you are

2010 Kit car shows, and the BVS, from Ed
Re: 2010 Kit car shows, and the BVS, PS from Ed
WOULD ALL BVS MEMBERS WITH A FUNCTIONAL EV, OR A GOOD STATIC EXHIBIT, SERIOUSLY CONSIDER JOINING THE BVS AT ONE OR MORE OF THE ABOVE KIT-CAR SHOWS???
Contact either Antoni Offert, or John Crayton, or Events@BatteryVehicleSociety.org.uk

Sadly all too far for me Ed.
But I'll be doing a couple of other shows this year closer to the Southcoast

Is the BVS not doing the Stoneleigh show this year? If you are, I have two electric cars I can bring along. Sadly, all the other shows are beyond my range.
My new book is out: The 2011 Electric Car Guide is available from Amazon and all good bookshops.

Seems like an excellent idea, Mike, would you be our man?
If I understand correctly, if you would represent the BVS, that gets you the entry and perhaps a 2-car space, and if you contact John Crayton for some material, job's a good 'un?
Looking forward to your ideas, very many thanks for the initiative and the heads-up

Re: 2010 Kit car shows, and the BVS, from Ed
I failed MSVA on my electric trike yesterday, but will pass at the next attempt, I just need to do some tweeking. I have attended Newark for the past 6 years with my ICE trikes and would enjoy exhibiting "Sparky" this year. How could I get it there from Chorley? Driving is not an option and our Mini is a bit small to tow it 120 miles! By the way I tested the limit of the law by driving the last 4 miles back from the MSVA test. It flies! It did not slow at all on a steepish hill at 43mph and corners well. Battery voltage sagged to about 69V on the hill, having started at 76.3V after a long rest. I will give a detailed account of performance when I am fully on the road.

Did you sort out transport to Newark for this weekend?

Tim, I am just waiting for my registration number after the usual lenghty fight with the DVLA local office. I have decided to give Newark a miss this year. I want to test Sparky and get some data before anything else. I hope to be on the road next week unless some annoying jobsworth can find another excuse to stall me. I will post my findings.
