It's clear that the BBC have already reacted to the pressure. BBC Breakfast actually changed it's stance during the trip and on the final broadcast said it cost 10 GBP to drive the EV, vs estimated 51 for guzzler. This came immediately after a report on the high cost of petrol – average family sedan should cost 70 quid, etc. Way better than expected!
Many websites have also picked up the story and Tesla sent press releases to 150 news agencies around the world. The campaign continues next week on Tesla's Facebook page (25,000 'friends').
I know that many people think this is pointless, but I believe we can force the BBC to be more careful about their EV reporting in future. All we need is a 30 second video asking the BBC to be fair and balanced in their EV reporting.
