I have now tried to tell peeps that I have a charging point available in Maidstone Kent under two login names, but I cannot see my location appear on the map nor any other peoples charging points. Is it me or has no-one else said they would be prepared to help a fellow EVer with a charge ? :(

Hi John,

are we talking about Tim Nicklin's EV-network? (http://www.ev-network.memberlodge.org) ?

I just looked and you're on there! Quite clear as day - with an internal 13A socket in your garage :)

Hi Nikki - yes thats the one. I'm glad its there but I wish I could see it.

I have tried to register twice in-case my reg details got lost in Cyberspace but I never get an acknowedgement from his site, so cannot see private charging points.

Any tips

John

The database takes a while to get updated so it's not immediately visible on the map. Also the map where you wioll appear will be the one Members only get to see as you're not a public charging point. So you need to go to the members only map to see your location marked

I also wanted to list myself as a 'energy supplier' in the database, but my apartment location won't allow it as ther is no parking space! As soon as I move I will make sure there is another charging point available.
I took up the idea to build a UK EV charging point as well on my own ecocar-forum website (http://ecocarforum.com), but then discovered the the already existing website. Instead of reinventing the wheel I encourage now my forum users to register on http://ev-network.memberlodge.org/ and I hope it will have a positive effect on the number of charging points in the UK...
