Hi Tom

I dont understand this either, I presume you've ticked the box saying stay logged in ??

I'm not having any such problem accross 3 machines, one running win 98 and explorer 6 another using XP and firefox and another with Linux and firefox.

Nikki, you got any ideas ??

My guess would be Tom's cleared his cookies out. Try logging in long hand first then go for the remember my login and see if that works.

Oops actually it didn't. I was able to post a reply after having accessed the site thru the message notification, but when I went to the main I had to reenter name etc.

My login problem is fixed. Did you do something or was it me? I accidentally deleted my bookmark for the forum, so I accessed the forum from the main BVS site then replaced my bookmark. Now I don't have to log in every time I visit. Brill.

Dont look at me , nought I did :?

mmmm odd way of fixing it I must say , so anyone else want to try this fix and report back on it for us.

I wonder if its using a cached cookie so even deleting it dosnt always remove the cached version, taking the book mark out trashes the troublesome cookie totally and forces it to use the newer version :?

I'm thinking you may have hit upon something here as it worked for me too :D

I see John Honibal has the same problem and hopefully he will let me know how he is logging in. It may well be that we are using a duff bookmark.

Good good!

A certain person who shall remane nameless changed the forums page a while back and this is looking like it's the cause of the problem.

Let's monitor the situation and see how it goes for a few weeks first but it does look like Mike has found the problem :D
