There's currently an Enfield for sale in Mid Glamorgan. It's advertised in Practical Classics if anyone is interested at a price of £2,300.
Nikki.
(Not mine by the way - just spotted it)

Ouch... You have my sympathies.
Good to see some Meastros on the road though. You could always convert it - it's got some nice space for batteries!

Not the usual reaction
The number I've owned is in double figures but I only have the one at the moment, had this one since 1994. Just had the wheel bearings replaced, suspension rebuilt, steering done, brakes done, some dyno work and a new MOT. Underneath it's totally solid so once the bodywork's redone I'll be buying a carcoon.

Thought about it but they're quite heavy cars. When I'm up to speed on EVs, and if I don't find an Enfield, I'll possibly buy an unfinished kit car and convert it. I asked the guys who do the work on my Maestro engine to help me build an electric car but they just laughed at me
Their loss! Thought it would've been good publicity for them.

Well, I'm converting a Morris Minor and the Meastro could be fairly easily converted since the systems are pretty much mechanical rather than electrical (that's if you have an early A+ series engined one )

Not quite
A seven year old picture but you get the idea

However, I do have one of the most inappropriately named vehicles that I'd be prepared to convert. What about a 1972 lightweight Landy?

Yeah, that’s my old banger
Thought I was the only person who still read that mag
The journalist had a go but he was a real wuss, he never came near to giving it full throttle. I tried to tell him what to do but he was too scared to take it out again.
Ah well, maybe he was to embarrassed to be seen in a Maestro

So..What about a Landy EV conversion?

Well Floyd, did you ring about the Enfield?
