Firstly, and most importantly, I do not read the Daily Mail, but was sent this link....

So, this guy was given a £400,000 grant from the Government to build a one-off car. Hmmm. I might actually agree with the slant the Mail is taking on this, but only because I'm jealous I'm not getting any funding!

You can read more-or-less the same article here, if the Telegraph upsets your sensibilities less:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/greene ... payer.html

And then go and install KittenBlock
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/235801/
Replaces the angry-making Daily Mail and Daily Express websites with a soothing selection of tea and kittens from www.teaandkittens.co.uk

As for the article itself, "this guy" being Dale Vince, founder of Ecotricity, who has the audacity to site a full size wind turbine in Reading on the M4, where millions of people can enjoy seeing it? Good luck to him, I say. I think he has used the government subsidies for their intended purpose, that being to get people thinking green.

Conversely, I don't know what he spent the money on. Russ Sciville has made a very similar vehicle for, what, about £20,000 Russ?
