Does anyone know if there are any major differences between the old Berlingo and the Facelift versions.

I know they changed the headlight arrangements etc and "modernised" it but are there any other major changes to the traction side, i.e would all the parts fit say a 2002 new shape van ??

No differences at all. Apart from.
The power steeting pump being in a slightly different location, and the pipes probably are slightly different. All the interior is the same, it wasnt replaced by the Mk 2 Berlingo insides. The front structure is stiffer and inner wings etc are different, as is the lower front crossmember. The Mk 2s have different Brakes, bosch. Not Girling lucas. Front panel is different. A lot of the mk2 wiring is thinner, as are the Mk2 berlingos. Computer version seems the same as later mk 1s
SO yes parts are generally interchangeable.

I'm fixing an mk2 at the moment.

The coolant rad in the mk2 doesn't fit too well. Its a bit of struggle to get the cap out from the top of the reservoir.

My MKII has stuff my Mk1 doesn't
Central locking (i think it is supposed to be remote but that doesn't do anything)
Electric door mirror (yes only the left) which is also heated. actually i presume the RH one is also heated depsite it being a manual adjustment
electric windows
interior light courtesy switch on rear barn door
dash pocket in different location
slightly different stalks?
my mk11 has a map light and some overhead storage

power steering is lighter, but that could be just a coincidence
