Took the lid off, one track has blown, soldered in a piece of wire and it works!
I think I might weep a tear of joy!!!
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Hi everyone...
I'm running a H2 600, at 96v with 110Ah batteries.
What is a 'safe' level of current to be pulling at 30mph? (The speedo is a bit jittery, but I'm fairly sure I'm doing 30mph)
At a constant 27 - 30mph, on level ground in 3rd it pulls 90 - 100 amps. Is this acceptable? My industrial estate isn't big enough to get up to top speed in 3rd.
I have all the cutbacks set to Level 9, as instructed by EZ, so the motor can now get up to the full 96v, not that it gets to the 96v in 3rd at the moment.
Many thanks in advance

As Paul says bring the motor rpm up more by using 2nd gear.
I would normally use 2nd 95% of the time in my fiesta, yeah it would sound like the motors where screaming there nads off but it did mean they would run much less current as they where closer to there most eifficant speed

OK - will do, acceleration is pretty good in 2nd, and in 3rd for that matter.
The gearbox doesn't sound too nice in 2nd, though, and 1st and reverse are a bit rough too. They make the car sound bad generally.
I think I've still got a ICE mentality, don't want to rev it, waiting for the rev limiter/valve bounce!
Just took my first passenger for a little ride around the estate, and the mocking, laughing and 'milk float' comparisons have come to an end!
No one has seen it running before cos I work on it in the evenings!

OK, had a little think over my morning coffee...
Nelco have said that my motor's designed rev range, at 48v is 250 - 2500 rpm.
I am running at 96v, which means the motor will rev to 500 - 5000rpm. They said that'll be OK.
So I did a ratios chart...
30mph in 3rd is 2500 rpm
30mph in 2nd is 4000 rpm
Like I said before, its just me being scared of letting the motor rev cos the gearbox doesn't sound too nice. Maybe I should check the oil in the 'box! (Normally in an ICE vehicle you don't hear the gear box whine, unless its really bad)
