Subject: Off site meeting facilities FOC - at Thatcham's Triple Focus

Dear Rob,

Thatcham will once again be hosting their Triple Focus event at the Research Centre on the 15th and 16th June and for 2011 we have a brand new, exciting format.

Although some way off yet, I know you will already be planning your society’s 2011 activities and I would like to offer the opportunity to conduct your offsite meetings and conferences at Thatcham during the event, where we can provide a fully specced room free of charge, whilst giving your staff, members and stakeholders the chance to experience the very latest in vehicle repair research and techniques, vehicle security, safety and insurer innovations.

Free to attend, Triple Focus is Thatcham’s major annual event attracting large numbers of visitors from the fields of vehicle security, insurance, vehicle manufacturers, installers, fleet managers, police etc. The event is designed to keep visitors up to date on a range of automotive issues including vehicle security, insurance and repair.

This year, there will be no trade show – instead Thatcham’s workshop will continue to operate as usual - giving visitors a real insight into how Thatcham methods, times and repair research are generated on a daily basis. In addition, visitors will be able to spend time at scheduled Thatcham ‘hotspots’ set up specifically to highlight key aspects of Thatcham’s research. A timed seminar programme presented by Thatcham experts and other leading specialists will keep guests up to speed on current industry issues. Visitors may also choose to visit our Academy where a range of mini-courses will give a taster of our full training programme, whilst presenting some key points designed to be directly relevant to your business. Meanwhile, the Thatcham/Bodyshop Craft Awards will be in full swing in the search for the UK’s top Panel and Paint technician.

As usual, the Wednesday will see the winners of the British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards announced, whilst Thursday is the chance for young technicians to be recognised for their achievements in the annual Thatcham Apprentice Graduation ceremony.

If this event sounds of interest to you and you would like to take advantage of the enviable facilities at the Research Centre to host your own gathering, we will happily accommodate large or small groups in return for some time built into your programme to browse the attractions that Triple Focus has to offer.

Please contact me to discuss further with no obligation.

Regards
Iain

*Title edited by me for correct year*

I will be checking my diary. The behind-the-scenes tour of Thatcham last year was really good, but I didn't make it to the Triple-Focus. Sounds interesting.

This year I shall have to wait and see
Is it OK to wait, and see if any places remain, close to the day?
Anyone able to commit before I do should have preference
All the best
Ed
