Well folks, is there going to be a London to Brighton event for 2008?

I have had some interest from a couple of G-Wiz owners who would like to take part. I have also got confirmation that GoinGreen would be prepared to get involved in some way, shape or form, which has to be good news: their publicity alone would make a huge difference.

Although I now live a lot further away, I'll be able to get more involved this year than last. I have access to a couple of 6kVA generators and I could bring the battle-bus - a 1978 double decker bus - to work as a mobile centre of operations.

It would be good to get a date sorted out sooner rather than later as this is the season that a lot of people organise their summer holidays. Last year, the event was scheduled for July and the other half had already booked the annual two-weeks-at-the-seaside by the time we had a date.

Mike,

You know I've just been having that conversation myself with several people today.

I will keep you posted, because I'm not quite sure what the next few weeks will hold - surfice to say that I hope to have a date in the next two weeks!

There will definately be a 2008 L2B as soon as there's a fixed date I'm certain it will be published in all the relevant locations.

I'm confident that there will be some more vehicles on it this time too :)

Update: I've started talking to various people at Brighton and Hove council. Hopefully we can get the right person to speak with soon - and I'll have a date!

Nikki.

That's quite some table! Surely it was nailed to the ground?

Its not all as it appeared. I spoke to the people who engineered the stunt.

The G-Wiz chassis was cut in order to weaken it so that it would crumple properly. The table was made of steel plate and veneered to look like wood, and then secured using stakes.

I thought as much there was no way that a table was going to do that to even a motorcycle and still not move.

That's pretty underhand. I have friends in television but for a programme that is supposed to be documentary (all be it comedy these days) that's out of order. I didn't see the episode and it was done very much tongue in cheek even for JC. Is the YouTube episode one that was actually broadcast?

I have to say though I do love watching TG it's about the only thing on telly I will go out of my way to see.
